Seattle-Tacoma Top 10 Warmest Days

Friday, July 19th was the 16th day in a row with a high temperature of 80 degrees or higher for Seattle. That breaks Seattle’s previous record for consecutive 80+ degree days (15 days, set in 2015 & 1977).

Before 1945 the weather was taken from the Federal Building in downtown Seattle, Washington. Records started there in 1891.

What about Olympia, WA hitting 100+ records?

June 9. 2024: This is the 24th day Olympia has had a high of at least 100 degrees since records started there in 1941. The warmest day on record is June 28, 2021 with 110 degrees. 2nd warmest is June 27, 2021 with 105 degrees. Olympia had 1 day in 2023 with a high of 100, Aug 15.

Spokane International Airport High Temperature Records Broken

On Saturday, July 20, the high temperature forecast of 100 degrees for Spokane International Airport, we will break the July/August 2017 record of 15 consecutive days of 90 degrees or warmer. It is safe to say the duration of this heatwave is *extremely* rare.
